Accommodation

There are a number of accommodation options available to guests which fall broadly into one of three categories.


-On site accommodation - Provided at the Loft

-Offsite accommodation arranged through us - Provided at the Kinloss barracks Mess (this is also open to civilian personnel)

-Other local accommodation - Local Hotels/ Air BnB’s


All on-site accommodation and rooms in the Kinloss Mess should be arranged through us by filling in this document.


On site accommodation: We have the exclusive use of the venue including all on sight accommodation. If you choose to stay in one of the on site cabins you will have use of it for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights (you don’t have to stay all three). Prices below are for all three nights. All cabins are Pet friendly.


Wigwam Lodge Pod - £175


The large Wigwam Pods sleep up to 5 (4 adults). These cabins are ideal for families or couples who want a bit more space.


Bedding is included for ONE double bed (x2 towels and a hand towel are also provided). If you need more bedding let us know, or bring your own.


These bad boys also include:


Kitchenette with sink, 2-ring hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, and fridge with ice box.

Crockery, cutlery and pans. Tea towel, sponge and washing up liquid provided.

Table and chairs

Toilet, sink and shower room with shower cubicle with electric shower

Electric heating, lighting, and power sockets (metered £1 and £2 coins required)

Decking area with picnic table.

x1 allocated parking space


8 of these cabins also have a hot tub.

Wigwam couples Pod £100


More intimate, without en-suite facilities (these are nearby)


These puppies include:


Double bed with memory foam mattresses with bedding and towels provided.

Electric heating, lighting and power sockets (metered £1 and £2 coins required)

Fridge, kettle & toaster in each cabin

Table and chairs

Outside the cabins there is a decking area and picnic table

Communal kitchen, toilet and shower facilities located in “The Bothy”



“The Bothy”

Communal facilities are in “The Bothy” which is located close to the cabins. These include:


Living room area with dining tables and sofas. Kitchen facilities with: sink, cooker, microwave, kettle, fridge


Bathroom: toilets, showers (including a family toilet and shower room), wash hand basins, hand dryers, shaver point

Camper Van / Tent Pitches


If you want to bring your own camping solution there are multiple pitches for Camper Vans or Tents. The prices for these range from around £12-£30 depending on whether you require electricity hookup etc. The easiest way to arrange this is direct with the venue. All bookings relating to our wedding will get a 10% discount.

Off site accommodation (arranged through us): We have requested around 20 rooms in the Kinloss officers Mess. These can vary slightly in size, please see photo's below for an example of a typical one. These are all ensuite and there are kitchen facilities. Please note that the regular occupants of the mess will still be in residence and anyone opting to stay here is asked to be respectful of them. They are very friendly, particularly if you ask them questions about the intricacies of digging trenches.

For those looking for Air BnB and hotel options, the nearest areas to look at are:

- Findhorn quaint village by the seaside, 10 mins drive from the venue

- Forres - the local town, 8 min drive

- Hopeman or Burghead - two villages that are both up the road about 15 mins drive, near to the the beach also

- Lossiemouth - town located 25 mins drive away, near the RAF base
